Gilmore Interior Design were responsible for designing concepts for the refurbishment of the The Mater Hospital.

GID produced an overall palette for the wards, resident bedrooms, patient lounges, nurses’ stations, corridors, lift lobbies and staff canteen.

Interior schemes were developed around existing elements such as the standard Mater Hospital carpet. Custom joinery includes the bedhead design detail that incorporates overhead lighting and shelving but still allows for flexibility and access to patients.

The interior schemes, design and details complement the existing scheme for the Mater Clinic, designed by GID in 2009.
